The Power That Heals
The Power That Heals presents a sampling of the heart, soul and wisdom of Concept-Therapy, as conceived by its founder, Dr. Thurman Fleet. The book covers such topics as:
- Where Do I look for Answers?
- The Body-Mind-Soul Connection
- The Power Within
- How Important Are My Thoughts?
- Intuitive Guidance
- Why Do I get Sick?
- How Do I Improve My Health?
- Thoughts Are Things!
- The One Great Law
- Why Should I Be Positive?
- The Power of Imagination
- The "What" and "How" of Imaging
- Holistic Care
On his return from Army service in WWI, Dr. Thurman Fleet (1895-1983) felt compelled to learn about health and healing, so he entered the chiropractic field. In 1931, he began applying his knowledge with scores of patients, and soon had a successful private practice in San Antonio.
In December 1931, a "peak experience" in consciousness inspired him to uncover the fundamental principles of the human personality and their relationship to the natural laws of life. Out of this grew the philosophy he named Concept-Therapy - working/healing with ideas.
Dr. Fleet served as President of the Concept-Therapy Institute until 1960, when he became advisor to the Board of Control, a position he held until his death in 1983.
